It has been a while.
I recently started a new job at UCLA and it has been wild. Settling into a new job has definitely not been easy and I recently started to feel like I had no life outside of work; the weekdays are long because of the commute and the weekends feel shorter because of all the stuff I pack in from not having time on the weekdays. But I am definitely happy to be at a new job and now that things are starting to settle down, I’m glad I’m able to get back into photography.
Gavy (aka best friend, boyfriend, etc) and I went to Palm Springs back in December which is kind of a special time & place for us since we were celebrating our anniversary. I absolutely love photographing Palm Springs; I love seeing fun colors and beautiful architecture wherever you go. We ate lunch at our favorite sandwich spot, drank coffee and played ping pong at the Ace Hotel, napped on a hammock at the Saguro, went on the aerial tramway, and finished the day at Ristorante Mamma Gina ( nicest servers, amazing pasta, and the best Napoleon cake I ever had). Gavy is honestly just the best at planning out a great & thoughtful date and we ended up having a lot of fun that day.
We also spent an hour photographing doors around the neighborhood and got a real fun collection that I’m pretty proud of. We got a great mix of colors, designs, plants, some with Christmas decorations, Amazon packages, and even an unfinished one.
